Deidre,

When I wrote the post, only the overall rankings of e-discovery software companies were available. The rankings by specific stage of the EDRM framework had not yet been published. So, my surprise was that PSS Systems is not ranked in the top 15 companies overall, especially since one or two companies which do appear lower down the rankings are much smaller and less accomplished than yours.

Thanks for clarifying that PSS is ranked highly in several sub-categories, most notably preservation.

Best,
Aaref

IMPORTANT CORRECTIONS: PSS Systems pioneered the legal holds market when it launched Atlas 1.0 in spring 2005; Exterro didn't announce a product until more than 2 years later and well after the FRCP changes.

MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, PSS Systems was indeed ranked in the TOP 5 in the category it created, preservation software. It was ranked in the top 10 in identification and in the top 15 in 2 other software categories. I'm not sure how you you missed the 4 top rankings we received and concluded we weren't mentioned....

Probably also important to note that the rankings were in buckets. There was no "#1 ranked company", just rankings in groups of 5. The full report with the actual analysis and research won't be released for another few weeks.
